For The Culture; A 24-Hour Black News Network Coming In The Fall

When you think of all the news networks we have none of them really represent our culture or diversity , luckily for us a 24-hour black news network is coming soon. The network has been in the works since 2004 it was launched by J.C. Watts Jr of J.C. Watts Companies this network will feature programming produced, written, edited by an all black staff.

The Black news channel will also launch partnerships with historically black colleges across the country, which will also serve as recruitment and training grounds for students with an interest in broadcasting and journalism. According to Pasadena Black Pages the network plans to be broadcasted to an estimated 33 million African-American homes across the country.

The black news channel's goal is to provide intelligent programming that is informative, educational, inspiring and empowering to its African American audience. BNC will also launch partnerships with historically black colleges across the country, which will also serve as recruitment and training grounds for students with an interest in news production.

This will be more than just a news network , it'll be like a sanctuary for us. It'll also empower the black community and address the issues that are relatable to some many of our lives on a daily. The network is set to premiere sometime in November , be sure to check your local listings.
