At some point or another we've all settled for something in our lives whether it was a toxic relationship/friendship , a job that doesn't align with your interests, a car , or apartment everyone has experienced the feeling of disappointment from settling for something.
Often times growing up my older aunts and grandmother would say "if you sit in shit for too long you stop smelling it" and that is very accurate and it's exactly what settling will lead you to because you'll become comfortable and complacent after a while.
Especially when it comes to branching out and leaving a job that you hate or dislike , as far as friendships/relationship are concerned we will often ignore signs of toxicity due to how long we've been friends with someone and quantity doesn't matter if the relationship or bond is not of quality.
Sometimes we view our relationships with people from foggy perspectives and may believe it's something that it's not in reality. Which has led a lot of us to maintain certain relationships that have been more harmful opposed to being conducive & healthy.
We cheat ourselves when we settle for things and situations knowing we deserve better , we miss out on opportunities and true happiness. If it no longer serves you a purpose and isn't bringing you any positivity or happiness it's time to re-assess the situation and act accordingly.
