Double Standards

From the beginning of time society has always projected double standards when it comes to males and females. A few weeks ago Rapper Meek Mill voiced his opinion on lace frontal wigs , he made it known he isn't a fan of them after a bad experience. Peter Thomas ex husband of model Cynthia Bailey posted a video that received a lot of backlash specifically from black women. In the video Peter states his opinion on darker black women rocking platinum blonde hair/ wigs and how everything isn't for everyone. A lot of black women found these opinions to be highly offensive and even stated their opinions weren't called for or needed. However , I disagree everyone has the right to have an opinion just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean they can't share it. Personally I feel like society has become way too sensitive and a lot of things celebrities say are blown out of proportion. Secondly why is it an issue when males state their opinion about women, women get defensive or offended or say "nobody asked you". But it's okay for us to state our opinions on what we want in a guy or our preferences for their appearance. It’s the same exact thing Peter and Meek Mill did so why so serious ladies ? Please share thoughts below !
