Usually when Azealia Banks shares her opinion about anything it's usually coming from a place of negativity or hate. Last week she did an interview at the breakfast club and when Dj Envy brought up Cardi B she didn't hesitate to speak her mind. She started off by saying Cardi B is basically a parody of black women and she is able to get behave in the way she does due to her skin complexion. And went on to say if any other black female entertainers or artist had grammar like Cardi's they would be ridiculed and cancelled.

Banks went on to say Cardi is successful by being the typical negative stereotypes of black women also calling her a real life episode of Maury and illiterate. I don't agree with most of Ms. Banks's interview , however she did make a point when she made the statement about Cardi being able to get away with behaving the way she does because of her complexion. But the thing is Cardi is who she is she's always been outspoken and ratchet since the world was first introduced to her. It's not her fault society and the industry is the way it is when it comes to colorism, she has no control over that so why she should change who she is because of that?

It seems as if ever since her career has really taken off everyone wants to ridicule her for the way she's always behaved. Cardi responded to Azaelia's comments by saying she's bitter and she never said nor asked to be anyone's role model. Now let's be real how can we really sit here and say Cardi harms black women's consciousness when we are all guilty of watching shows like Love & Hip Hop, Basketball wives, the real housewives of Atlanta and so on and so forth. Those shows portray black women negatively most of the time but how many of us still watch them?

Also, Cardi isn't the only entertainer/rapper to be vulgar and raunchy so what's all the fuss really about?  I think it's just a lot of people are salty about her success, people love what she's doing and what she's done so far but hate the fact that it's her doing it and not them. Don't envy other people's blessings you don't know what people have gone through to make it to where they are.
