The Difference Between Being Ride Or Die & Taken For Granted

Many of us have been "Power" fans for the last four seasons , for those of you who don't watch power it's a series based on a character named James St. Patrick AKA Ghost he juggles a double life as a club owner and a drug dealer. He also juggles two personal relationships throughout the seasons one with his wife Tasha and the other with his childhood sweetheart who happens to be a United States attorney. (Spoiler Alert) in season 4 his two secret lives cross paths when he is arrested by his former mistress. Although the show is fiction each and every Sunday I can't help but wonder how differently things would've played out if ghost would've remained faithful. He wouldn't be in the predicament he is in now. If Tasha would've left him after she initially found out about the affair she wouldn't be in the predicament she and their children are in now. Many women are Tasha St. Patrick maybe their situations aren't ideally the same , however they can relate to the blatant disrespect , lying, and cheating. Some women may feel like they're ride or die and behavior that men like James displays comes with the territory of being ride or die. In my opinion, behavior like that doesn't come with the territory behavior like that is exhibited by someone who takes you for granted and really doesn't value your feelings or their commitment to their significant other. Being ride or die has multiple definitions depending on whom you ask but it definitely doesn't mean be disrespected and cheated on and still "have your mans back." A woman should only "ride or die" for her man if he's doing what he's supposed to do as her partner and if he's genuinely worth riding for. If not what is the point of riding or dying for a half ass relationship? Because in the end you'll realize you were the only one riding the whole time. Please share your thoughts below
