Love & Relationships; Ladies would you be the one to propose?

Could you fathom the idea of getting on bended knee and asking a man to marry you? Hell no is probably the common response most women including myself would give to this question. However, a lot of women throughout the last decade are starting to take more initiative when it comes to proposals. Earlier this week I read an article on theshaderoom about a Nigerian comedian named Etinosa who proposed to her longtime boyfriend. She posted a photo of herself proposing to her boyfriend and added a caption letting ladies know sometimes we should grab the bull by the horn and pop the question first. Most commenters mainly women disagreed with the comedian's act of love and felt proposals should be done the traditional way. Also , some felt asking a man to marry you can make you seem very thirsty.

However, there were other commenters who saw nothing wrong with a female proposing . One commenter even brought up the point women want equality so there shouldn't be an issue with a woman being the one to pop the question. Personally I couldn't picture myself asking a man to marry me for many reasons. For one I'm too prideful and it would really kill me if I was the one to propose and be turned down, secondly my father always told me "women were always meant to be hunted not the other way around." it sounds a little barbaric but I get his point women are supposed to be the catch not the ones going after a man. I always felt if a man is ready to make you his wife then he'll do so. Please share thoughts below
